Turrit is created by SEASTAR FUTURE HOLDING PTE. LTD. is based on the open API (TDLib) provided by Telegram and is offered to users free of charge. This page is used to inform visitors about Turrit's policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information.

Turrit solely optimizes the visual appearance and features of the Telegram client software and does not involve the direct collection of any personal information of users. The storage, updating, and data transmission of personal account information are all handled by Telegram's official servers, Turrit does not collect user’s personal account information, communication protocols, or message sending and receiving. The security of information depends on Telegram's service.

 I.               What data do we collect? What service do we integrate?

In order to better optimize Turrit and provide users with an enhanced software experience, we may collect/integrate the following information/services:

●        Collection of app launch information indirectly through third-party service provider, used to determine if the software can run properly. This service is provided by the third-party service provider Google Analytics for Firebase.

●        Collection of software crash logs indirectly through third-party service provider, used to identify product bugs and promptly address them. This service is provided by the third-party service provider Firebase Crashlytics.

●        Collection of location information indirectly through Telegram, when you use Telegram through Turrit and would like to send locations to contacts or find people and groups nearby, Telegram will ask you for permission to access your location information.

●        Collection of email address indirectly through Telegram, when you actively request to enable 2-step-verification for your account or store documents using the Telegram Passport feature, you can opt to set up a password recovery email.

●        Collection of mobile number indirectly through Telegram, when you try to access our services, you need to log in with your valid Telegram account, which is your mobile number. Turrit does not collect such account information, and such data is only stored by the official Telegram server.

●        Collection of contact list indirectly through Telegram, when you actively request to synchronize the contact information on Telegram. Telegram maintains your current contact list to promptly inform you when any of your contacts join Telegram and to correctly show names in notification messages. For this feature to function, Telegram requires only the phone number and full name (first and last) of your contacts and will store it after anonymizing it. To avoid doubt, Turrit does not store data during the reading process, and the data is only stored by the official Telegram server. You can always stop syncing contacts or delete them in Telegram, through the below path in Telegram: Settings > Privacy & Security > Data Settings.

●        Collection of user-generated information indirectly through Telegram. In the process of using Telegram through Turrit, you can send information generated based on your choice on Telegram through Turrit, including but not limited to text messages, images, pictures, photos, videos, audio, files, etc. Turrit does not store data during transmission, and the data is only stored by the official Telegram server.

●        Collection of log data indirectly through third-party service provider. When you use our service and in case of an error in the application, we collect some data about your phone through third-party services, known as log data. This log data may include statistical information such as your device model, operating system version, and the time of software errors. This data does not include personal account information logged in at the time of the issue. This service is provided by the third-party service provider Google Analytics for Firebase.

●        Collection of clipboard data. To help you more quickly save or input the content you are interested in, Turrit has developed one feature to help you copy and paste the content of your choice. For the avoidance of doubt, such data is not collected or stored and is only used for the moment of copy and paste.

●        Integration of Google Play Services, used for the application to access various Google services, such as push notifications, location services, updates, etc.

●        Integration of various translation services, used for real-time translation of text information within the software. Users are free to choose and disable translation services, and the translation process does not store data.

 II.             How do we collect your data?

Turrit does not directly collect your personal information, Turrit may engage third-party service providers to provide services for us when the third-party service provider performs certain tasks on our behalf, or when you use Telegram through Turrit, Telegram or these third-party service providers will directly collect your personal information to support their execution. For example, when you try to access our services, we will ask you to log in with a mobile number registered with Telegram. If you do not have a registered mobile number with Telegram, you will only be able to access our services after completing the registration of your Telegram account. In the process, we are indirectly asking you to provide and collect your login information on Telegram. Turrit hereby declares that we do not store or retain your personal information, directly collected by Telegram or third-party service providers shall be subject to the privacy policy of Telegram or the third party, and you need to check their privacy policy.

 III.            How will we use your data?

The information you provide to us indirectly through Telegram or third-party service provider can enable us:

●        Ensure the normal operation of application and Services.

●        Research and analyze your use of the Service, provide troubleshooting, maintenance and improvement of our service.

●        Enforce our terms, conditions, and policies.

 IV.            Cookies

Cookies are files with a small amount of data that are commonly used as anonymous unique identifiers. They are sent to your browser from the websites you visit and are stored in your device's internal memory. You can choose to accept or refuse these cookies and know when a cookie is being sent to your device. If you choose to refuse our cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of this service.

 V.             Security

Turrit only calls the server when you access Explore or use Translation, for the avoidance of doubt, there is no information gathering involved in the user's use of either feature. The server services at all other times are provided by Telegram's official service, so the security of information depends on Telegram's service.

 VI.            Your data protection rights

l  Right of Access: You shall have the right to obtain your personal information which is in our possession or control, and information about how your personal information has been or may have been used or disclosed by us, except we are entitled not to provide you with your personal data or other information as required by law.

l  Right to Rectification: You have the right to obtain from us without undue delay the rectification of inaccurate personal information concerning you and, if applicable, to have incomplete information completed, unless we are satisfied on reasonable grounds that the correction and completion should not be made.

l  Right to Erasure: You have the right to demand from us the erasure of personal information concerning you without undue delay if retention of such personal information is no longer necessary for legal or business purposes.

l  Right to Restriction of Processing: You have the right for the duration of the verification by the controller to demand the restriction of processing if one of the conditions applies, e.g., if you have objected to the processing.

l  Right to Data Portability: You have the right to receive the personal information concerning you in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and to have this information transmitted to a third party, as long as the processing is based on consent or on a contract and the processing is carried out by means of automated procedures.

l  Right to Object: If personal information is collected for the purposes of legitimate interests or in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority, you have the right to object to this processing, on grounds relating to your particular situation, at any time. We will no longer process the personal information unless there are demonstrable compelling legitimate grounds for this processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms or which serve in the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims. You should be cognizant of the fact that exercising your Right to Object may affect the ability of Turrit to continue providing the requested services.

VII.          Children’s Privacy

Turrit does not intentionally collect or ask for personal information from anyone under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in relevant jurisdictions). In fact, Turrit does not collect and store users' personal privacy data, and user registration and login information are stored in the Telegram server, so we cannot judge whether users belong to children. If you are a minor, please do not send any information about you to Turrit, including your name, address, telephone number or email address. Minors are not allowed to provide Turrit with any personal information. If Turrit learns that it has collected personal information of minors, Turrit will delete the information as soon as possible. If you are a parent or guardian and you realize that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we can take necessary measures.

 

VIII.         Privacy policies of other websites

Our Services may contain links to other websites or application. This Privacy Policy applies only to Turrit Services, so if you click on a link to another website or application, you should read their privacy policy.

 

IX.            Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may modify this Privacy Policy from time to time and will use commercially reasonable efforts to generally notify all users of any material changes to this Privacy Policy, such as by updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page, which reflects the effective date of this Policy. You herein waive any right to receive specific notice of each such change. By continuing to access or use the Service after those changes become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Privacy Policy.

 

X.             Privacy Policy Statement

If you choose to use our service, it means you agree to Turrit collecting and using information according to this policy. The data we collect is used only for providing and improving the service. We will not share this data with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

The terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms of Service, which can be accessed at Turrit unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy.
